Entebbe – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early morning pickup from Entebbe, you'll begin the scenic drive southwest toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey passes through rural towns, rolling hills, and cultivated farmland, offering insight into daily life in Uganda. A lunch stop is made en route before continuing toward the forested highlands of Bwindi. Arrival is in the late afternoon, followed by check-in at your budget lodge. The evening is spent relaxing as your guide briefs you on the next day’s gorilla trekking experience, park rules, and safety guidelines.
Gorilla Trekking Experience – Transfer To Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast, you'll transfer to the park headquarters for registration and a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You are assigned a gorilla family and begin the trek through the dense forest accompanied by rangers and trackers. The trek can take between two and six hours, depending on the gorilla location and terrain. Once the gorillas are found, you spend up to one hour observing them in their natural habitat. After the trek, you'll depart Bwindi and drive to Lake Bunyonyi, arriving in the late afternoon to relax at your lakeside budget lodge.
Lake Bunyonyi – Entebbe And Departure
After breakfast, you'll enjoy a relaxed morning at Lake Bunyonyi, known for its calm waters and scenic terraced hills. Depending on the time, you may enjoy the views around the lodge or take a short walk in the surrounding area. Later, you'll begin the return journey to Entebbe, traveling through southwestern and central Uganda with planned stops along the way. Arrival in Entebbe is in the evening, where you are dropped off at Entebbe International Airport or your hotel, marking the end of the budget safari.
