Day 1
Arrival And Transfer To City Hotel
On arrival at Kigali International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and lead you to the VIP lounge, assist with all the immigration procedures, sort your luggage, and later introduce you to your driver guide. You'll proceed to the hotel, where you will be assisted to check in. Your overnight stay with breakfast is included.
Day 2
Transfer To Volcanoes National Park
You'll have breakfast at the hotel, check out, and settle any extras before proceeding on a scenic road transfer to the Volcanoes National Park area. On arrival, you have an option to visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey. Afterward, you'll head to the lodge. You will be welcomed and assisted with check-in. Lunch and dinner are included. This evening, you have an option to do the Gorilla Doctors lecture at an extra cost.
Day 3
Gorilla Trekking In Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast at the lodge, you'll proceed to the park headquarters in time for the gorilla trek briefing, which starts at 7:00 am. After the briefing and allocation of gorilla families and park guides, you'll drive to the start point of your guided walk that begins at 8:00 am. Your amazing adventure begins. A gorilla family is led by a silverback, and the troops also include several younger males, adult and juvenile females, and infants. In addition to protecting group members, silverbacks maintain order and decide all activities within their troop. They schedule feeding trips, resting time, and travel. They also father the majority of the young in the group. After this memorable experience, you will return for your lunch at the lodge.
Day 4
Golden Monkey And Cultural Experience/Transfer To Kigali
On this day, you'll have an early breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing at 7:00 am. Later, you'll transfer to the start point for the trek. The golden monkey trek experience is not as strenuous as the gorilla trek, and usually guests return by 11:00 am. En route, you will visit the Gorilla Guardians Village for a cultural experience before returning to the lodge, freshen up, and check out. Lunch is at an extra cost on this day. Later, you'll transfer back to Kigali to connect with your departure. Please note that the activities on this day are recommended for clients with evening departure.
