Travel To Murchison Falls National Park Through Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
You'll be picked up by your safari leader and briefed. Afterward, you'll drive to Murchison Falls National Park, the only park sitting in Northwestern Uganda, and also the biggest of the 10 national parks the Pearl of Africa is known for. En route, you’ll make a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary primarily to track rhinos in their natural environment. From Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to Murchison Falls National Park is about a 2-hour drive via Kichumbanyobo gate.
Game Drive And Boat Cruise
You'll have an early breakfast. Today’s activities range from a morning game drive to a boat cruise with an experienced park guide. First, you'll have an exciting morning game drive via the Northern Banks of Murchison Falls N/P, see kobs, waterbucks, hartebeests, buffaloes, giraffes, and birds. A morning game drive today will last 2-3 hours. Later, you'll have lunch and an afternoon boat cruise to see crocodiles, hippos, and birds, especially the cormorants and the bee-eaters.
Murchison Falls N/Park To Kibale National Park
You will leave Murchison Falls National Park early, immediately after a cup of tea/coffee, and drive for 6 hours up to Kibale National Park, including a lunch stop in Fort Portal city. You'll proceed to the booked lodge in Kibale forest to settle for dinner and an overnight stay.
Chimpanzee Trekking In Kibale National Park
You'll enjoy a cup of tea/coffee early, and get briefed at Kanyanchu Tourist Centre on chimp tracking guidelines and regulations. Your access to Kibale Forest starts at 8:00 am after you have been allocated to a park guide, and takes 2 to 4 hours. Finding a chimp community guarantees you 1 full hour to observe chimpanzees, how they groom each other, take photos then you walk back thereafter. You'll have lunch at leisure. Bigodi community will be your next area to visit in the afternoon. You'll enjoy walking in Bigodi community, see a range of avifaunal species, then relax at the lodge.
Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Through Ishasha Sector (Optional)
You'll meet your driver-guide after breakfast, drive to Bwindi, and navigate via the Ishasha Area of Queen Elizabeth. You'll have an optional mini-game drive in the Ishasha sector with possible sightings of tree-climbing lions. Later, you'll have lunch at the Savanna Resort or Topi lodge before checking into the lodge for an overnight stay in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Gorilla Trekking Experience In Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You'll have an early breakfast and with packed snacks, a bottle of water, and get to the park offices for a briefing. 8:00 am will be the actual time to begin looking for mountain gorillas, 2-6 hours, and once you have found them, 1 hour will be must for you to observe these intelligent species. You'll walk back to the point you began trekking, get a gorilla trekking certificate, and transfer to the lodge for relaxation. In the evening, you'll visit the Batwa villages for a cultural tour.
Explore Lake Bunyonyi
You'll have an early breakfast and then embark on a 2-hour drive straight to Lake Bunyonyi. Activities to expect while around Lake Bunyonyi include a boat ride, visiting some of the 29 islands, including the Punishment Island, a cultural walk, swimming, or chilling at the shores.
Transfer To Kigali And Departure
You'll meet your driver-guide early after breakfast, and leave Kabale for Kampala, an 8-hour journey. You'll arrive in Mbarara city early for lunch, a photo shoot, and then an experiment at the equator crossing in Mpigi. You'll be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport in the evening or at the hotel for an overnight stay.
